Unlock your creativity and quick thinking with our "Improv" class designed for 7th-12th graders. This dynamic course focuses on the fundamentals of improvisational theatre, teaching students how to think on their feet, collaborate with others, and create spontaneous, entertaining scenes. Through a variety of fun and interactive exercises, games, and performance activities, students will develop essential skills such as active listening, teamwork, and storytelling. Our experienced instructor will guide students through the principles of improv, including "yes, and," character development, and scene building, providing a supportive and energetic environment for experimentation and growth. Whether you are new to improv or looking to sharpen your skills, this class offers a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, enhance communication abilities, and have a great time. Classes are held every Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 5:50 PM, from September 17th to November 5th, followed by a Talent Showcase on November 12th, where all of the 4:30 Tuesday classes will show off what they have learned.
Students don't have to attend all the class sessions to sign up; if they need to miss a class session, that's okay. As long as they attend the majority of the classes in the trimester, they will be able to perform at the talent showcase.
$15 to book online in advance, $20 in person on the day of the class.
*7th-12th grade indicates that a student must be in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, or the equivalent age, as of the 2024-2025 school year.
