Unlock the building blocks of music with "Music Theory I," a foundational course designed for 3rd-7th graders eager to deepen their understanding of music. This engaging class covers essential music theory concepts, including reading sheet music, understanding rhythms, scales, key signatures, and basic chord structures. Through interactive lessons, fun activities, and hands-on practice, students will develop their musical literacy and ear training skills. Our experienced instructor will create a supportive and stimulating environment, making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable. By the end of the course, students will have a solid grasp of music theory fundamentals, empowering them to read and interpret music with confidence. Whether your child is a budding musician or simply curious about the inner workings of music, "Music Theory I" provides a strong foundation for future musical growth and exploration.

Classes are held every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:20 PM from September 17th to November 5th, followed by a Talent Showcase on November 12th, where all of the 6:00 Tuesday classes will show off what they have learned.
Students don't have to attend all the class sessions to sign up; if they need to miss a class session, that's okay. As long as they attend the majority of the classes in the trimester, they will be able to perform at the talent showcase.
$15 to book online in advance, $20 in person on the day of the class.
*3rd-7th grade indicates that a student must be in 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th grade, or the equivalent age, as of the 2024-2025 school year.
