There is something so wonderful about the Fall. My favorite movie, You’ve Got Mail, has one of my favorite quotes, “Don’t you love New York in the Fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.”
I’ll tell you, that time my husband sent me a bouquet of daisies (the lead character in the movie, Kathleen Kelly’s favorite flower) with sharpened pencils in it, I knew that he understood my soul. Fall is the time for embracing the coziness and snuggling up on the couch on the weekends. It brings memories of cinnamon and pumpkin and chili and so much more.
Our family is huge on Young Living essential oils, and we have embraced using diffusers around our home to make our house smell like fall all over. The beauty of essential oils? You only need your diffuser, your favorite oils, and water. There are no light bulbs and hot wax to worry about with toddlers running around), nor do you have to worry about snuffing them out or thinking about fires like you would with candles.
I don’t know about you, but the wax and candles give me headaches too, and that definitely doesn’t scream “fall coziness” to me. The great thing about Young Living essential oils is that they actually have therapeutic benefits that support every body system. Each oil has its own benefits, and I love how multi-functional they are!
My diffusers are constantly running, especially right now as I’m dreaming for the weather to get cooler. Here are my top 9 favorite blends right now for our diffusers. I promise you will love them as much as I do. We rotate these all throughout our home and constantly get compliments on how good our home smells.
Don’t have a diffuser? Try adding your favorite holiday smelling essential oils like Christmas Spirit, Cinnamon, or Cardamom onto pine cones or fire logs before burning them. The smells will waft through your home and people will begin asking you what that amazing smell is!
I hope you’ll try these blends out. If you don’t use essential oils, definitely do some research! There is so much information out there about them and they do much more than people realize (all while making your home smell fantastic!)
