Running errands with small children in tow can be challenging. So, when Waco mom, Elizabeth Senn found out about Time Out Sitters, she was excited to give the service a try.
Time Out Sitters is a company that knows that parents have a lot on their plate, and that they need some time away sometimes. Whether moms and dads need help on a regular basis, a date night, or someone to watch their furry babies, Time Out Sitters has them covered.
“I got a call pretty quickly after I filled out a request [for a sitter] online,” Senn said. “I thought that was good communication right off the bat.”
Senn’s assigned sitter not only asked the mom questions about her children, but also detailed her childcare background which included several years of experience. The sitter was also equipped to care for Senn’s son who has sensory processing disorder. This put the mom’s mind at ease.
“I like that they don’t hire people who have speeding tickets and hire those who have first aid and CPR training,” she said. “My daughter is allergic to peanuts, so it was nice to that know that if something happened, [the sitter] would know what to do.”
After speaking with the sitter over the phone, Senn set up a time for the next day to try out the service. She needed to run some errands and go workout.
“[The sitter] was early, which gave me plenty of time to gather my things and leave her notes,” she said. “And she didn’t just sit down and put the kids in front of the TV. They played games together and did other activities.”
Senn’s children said they had fun and wanted to see the sitter again in the future.
The payment process was easy as well. When parents sign up they fill in their credit card information on their online account.
“It was a good experience,” she said. “It is nice to have a sitter I can count on.”
