1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. green bell pepper, chopped
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes
1 container prepared pico de gallo or 1 can Rotel tomatoes
1 head of cabbage, finely chopped
1 1/2 T. salt
1 T. pepper
1/2 t. paprika
white pepper, ketchup, and Tabasco to taste, if desired
Brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper, drain. Combine ground beef mixture with remaining ingredients in a large pot and simmer for 30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
