With Texas winter temps ranging from the low 30s to the upper 60s, keeping your kiddos busy indoors can require some creativity. With these ideas your kids will be having a blast while burning some energy.
1. Play Dates at the Play Place
Hit up local restaurants with indoor play areas or the indoor playground at the mall for some fun playtime. Add to the adventure and make plans to meet your friends, neighbors, or grandparents at your favorite kid-friendly spot.
2. Indoor Playgrounds
Don’t let the kids have all the fun. Try something you haven’t in a while - like indoor ice skating, bowling, or jumping at a trampoline park.
3. Fun & Free
Have a theme day. Visit the library for story hour, then pick books and movies with the same theme or topic. Head home to enjoy popcorn and pillow forts as you watch the borrowed flicks. Then read your new books by flashlight.
4. Bundle Up to Go Outside
Catch some rays and Vitamin D in the great outdoors. In the late afternoon during the warmest part of the day, bundle up under your warmest coats, scarves, and hats to visit the local zoo or city park. If you’ve got the extra time, travel to a neighboring city’s park to try something new.
