Summer heat and pandemic restrictions might be causing cranky kids who have endless energy and poor sleeping schedules. Well, Casie Turner, owner of Little Land Play Gym (Temple and Waco, TX) says th
gym is ready to give parents a super clean environment to let their little ones to move around and learn through unstructured play.
“Kids don’t have the same outlets to socialize and burn off their energy, and Texas summers make outside play more difficult,” she said. “So, we are trying to provide an outlet for kids to burn off energy in a safe place.”
Turner and her staff at both Central Texas gyms have been working tirelessly to create a system that provides cleanliness and social distancing that allows kids and parents to have a fun place to play without the threat of contracting an illness.
“I pride myself in the cleanliness of our gyms, and I have even been helping the franchise write their cleaning protocol for the last two years,” the gym owner said.
Little Land has instituted timed play sessions that parents have to sign up for ahead of time. This allows the staff to sanitize the gym and its toys every two hours to ensure a sterile environment.
Turner has also removed all wooden toys, fabric toys and books because of their hard-to-clean nature. But, the gym owner didn’t want kids to feel as though they were losing something, so she has introduced new fine motor skills toys and climbing structures.
Along with new ways to play, Little Land is also now offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy from fully-licensed therapists.
The gym owner said becoming an accredited therapy center has taken two years and she wants her loyal customer base to know that therapy is available and that they take all major insurances. And there’s no waiting list!
To start the therapy process, visit Little Land’s website (www.littlelandplaygym.com/location/temple or www.littlelandplaygym.com/location/waco) and fill out the online intake form. Turner or a member of her staff should reach out to you within 24 hours.
And if you’re looking for a place to host a private birthday party, Little Land can help with that, too. “Birthday parties include: pizza, juice boxes, kids’ admission, a party hostess, napkins, cutlery and the gym all to yourself,” Turner said.
